Rush & Rush, Attorneys at Law

The firm originated in 1979 in Paris, Ark., and currently has offices in Paris and Fort Smith. The firm is involved in various types of cases, including complex civil litigation, workers compensation, auto accidents, Social Security and serious felonies.
 
The attorneys in the firm have diversified practices and come from diverse backgrounds. The attorneys have been judges, prosecutors, military officers, a legislator, and have worked for federal, state and local governments. The firm's goal is to represent each client so as to give each client personal and effective representation.

David L. Rush
David L. Rush is a 1974 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Following college, Mr. Rush entered the United States Navy and was commissioned in 1975. Upon release from active duty, Mr. Rush attended law school and graduated in 1982 with a Juris Doctor degree. Mr. Rush has engaged in the general practice of law since his licensure in 1982. Mr. Rush remained in the Naval Reserve until 2005, when he retired with the permanent capacities in the Naval Reserve Units in Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Ark. Mr. Rush has also served as a District Judge, Logan County Election Committee Chairman and City Attorney for various cities in Western Arkansas.
Patrick Flake
Patrick Flake graduated from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, in 1992, cum laude, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Mr. Flake graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville, in 1995. Mr. Flake worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney for almost 12 years.
 
Mr. Flake’s practice includes criminal law, domestic relations, certified guardian ad-litem in domestic relations, Social Security, federal Social Security appeals, probate, personal injury and juvenile law.
Mark J. Johnson
Mark Johnson graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2003, summa cum laude, and graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas, William H. Bowen School of Law in 2006.
 
Mr. Johnson’s practice includes personal injury, Social Security, workers compensation, domestic relations and criminal law.

Coy J. Rush Jr.
Coy J. Rush, Jr. Is a 1966 graduate of Arkansas Tech University and a 1975 graduate of the University of Arkansas Law School. Mr. Rush served as an officer in the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1972. Mr. Rush served as a judge with the Merit System Protection Board, United States Civil Service Commission from 1977 to 1979 and served as a District Judge from 1980 to 1986.
 
Mr. Rush’s practice includes criminal, personal injury, Social Security, probate, divorce, and severe burn cases.
